It may be a few more days...

It may be a few more days before I get any more pictures posted. We're doing our second HOW GOD DOES FAMILY seminar Sunday - Wednesday in conjunction with VBS at Collingswood, NJ which is across the Delaware River from Philadelphia. It's been great...we're still tweaking our book...so, this is helping us proof and tweak and then we'll teach it in the fall at Pitman. Hopefully, it will be ready for binding after that. Anyway, this week we just see ourselves coming and going.

For a Sikes' family reunion connection...check out my Monday post POUR IT OUT! at http://momstransformed.blogspot.com/

See you in a few days! patti

Great Reunion Pictures 2008: INDOOR ENTERTAINMENT

There were those who just loved clowning around...
There were others who joined Krista in doing makeovers and showing off the results...

Of course, there were toys that were brought from home to share....or to play alone...

Then, there were the ongoing card games....

It was obvious that we are a musical family...

And when babies needed entertaining there was always "Mommy/Baby Massage"!

THERE'S NO GOD LIKE JEHOVAH!

I smile every time I think of us trying to sing this song at the reunion. Do you remember that we also tried it at the 2006 reunion with the same results? Did anyone take a video of us trying to sing it without the words?

Days Of Elijah

These are the days of Elijah,
Declaring the word of the Lord:
And these are the days of Your servant Moses,
Righteousness being restored.
And though these are days of great trial,
Of famine and darkness and sword,
Still, we are the voice in the desert crying
'Prepare ye the way of the Lord!'

Behold He comes riding on the clouds,
Shining like the sun at the trumpet call;
Lift your voice, it's the year of jubilee,
And out of Zion's hill salvation comes.

These are the days of Ezekiel,
The dry bones becoming as flesh;
And these are the days of Your servant David,
Rebuilding a temple of praise.
These are the days of the harvest,
The fields are as white in Your world,
And we are the labourers in Your vineyard,
Declaring the word of the Lord!

Behold He comes! Riding on the clouds!
Shining like the sun!
At the trumpet call Lift your voice!
It's the year of Jubilee!
And out of Zion's hill salvation comes!

There's no God like Jehovah!
There's no God like Jehovah!
There's no God like Jehovah!
There's no God like Jehovah! (Repeat 3 times)

Behold He comes! Riding on the clouds!
Shining like the sun! At the trumpet call!
Lift your voice! It's the year of Jubilee!
And out of Zion's hill salvation comes!

Behold He comes! Riding on the clouds!
Shining like the sun! At the trumpet call!
Lift your voice! It's the year of Jubilee!
And out of Zion's hill salvation comes!
And out of Zion's hill salvation comes!
And out of Zion's hill salvation comes!

Great 2008 Reunion Pictures: JACK and ROBBIE SIKES clan numbered 76 of the 111 at the reunion

JACK and ROBBIE celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at the family reunion after 60.5 years of marriage. (12-30-1947 to 12-30-2007)

Jack, the seventh of eleven children raised to adulthood by Norbon and Emma Sikes, met Erma Louise "Robbie" Robertson on a blind date in college because both of them wanted to raise a dozen children. The rest is history! Enjoy these Jack and Robbie Sikes 2008 reunion photos!

Jack and Robbie's clan below had 11 of their 13 children present (minus Steve and Stafford). Their 13 children, 45 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren were represented with 76 of their own clan attending the reunion in honor of Jack's parents. Jack and Robbie's family came from Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Minnesota, Michigan, Tennnessee, Virginia, New Jersey, Colorado AND South America - Bolivia and Ecuador.
Robbie played dueling violins with grandaughter Brianna Bailey.

Four of Jack and Robbie's seven daughters enjoyed each other's company: Sharon Disterlic, Sharla Marcum, Sherena Langely, and Shawna Bailey.
20 of the 30 great grandkids were at the reunion. 18 are pictured here in all their glory!!!!
